Announcing Batch 8 of Cronos Ecosystem Grants
We are excited to announce the eighth batch of the Cronos Ecosystem Grant Recipients!
We established the Cronos Ecosystem Grants Program back in December 2021 with two clear goals in mind:
To support early-stage projects on Cronos by bootstrapping initial product development and providing monetary, technical, and marketing support
To align incentives together with new builders and teams by helping their projects grow together with the broader ecosystem
One key criterion of the grants was that projects had to build innovative products, especially within an underserved vertical within Cronos, and have a provable track record for success. For this eighth batch of Cronos Ecosystem Grant, we received a total of 180 applications and have narrowed it down to 3 projects.
Batch 8 features 3 exciting gaming projects that are familiar household names to the #CROfam. The NFT ecosystem has been a vibrant and growing ecosystem on Cronos, and will continue to be a key pillar as the #CROFam user base continues to grow.
Without further ado, let’s dive right in!
Grant Recipient #1: CroSkulls
Category: NFT / Gaming
CroSkulls is an OG NFT collection that launched on the Cronos chain in late 2021. CroSkulls has developed a series of interesting on-chain mechanisms for its NFT collection for its holders, such as Seasonal Adventures and Missions.

Grant Recipient #2: Ballies
Category: NFT / Gaming
Ballies is a sports gaming platform and a social place for web2 and web3 enthusiasts. With the successful Ballies NFT launch on Crypto.com Marketplace in early 2022, they are building a basketball mobile game to onboard more users into the #CROFam community.

Grant Recipient #3: Marbleverse
Category: NFT / Gaming
Marbleverse is a P2E casual idle game on Cronos developed by Aden Games Studio. By joining MarbleVerse, players will be able to join periodic and special race events, create custom racing tracks, organize special races, trade their marbles, and receive special rewards!
