We’re very excited to announce the official launch of the Cronos Ecosystem Grants!
Read on to find out more about what the Cronos Ecosystem Grants entails, how to qualify for it, and how you can apply for it.
Purpose
The Cronos Ecosystem Grants program aims to support early-stage projects on Cronos by bootstrapping initial product development and providing technical support. We aim to align incentives together with new builders and teams by helping their projects grow together with the broader ecosystem.
We warmly welcome any talented individuals & teams who are passionate and committed to building incredible products within the Cronos ecosystem.
The Cronos ecosystem has been fast growing and we have seen a multitude of projects starting to build on Cronos. Here’s an overview of the Cronos ecosystem:

Cronos Ecosystem Grants Program Benefits
1. Milestone Incentives
The Cronos Ecosystem Grants is not a source of venture capital funding, but rather, a form of monetary support provided by Cronos Labs. Project recipients would be awarded grants based on the quality of the team, the potential of the project, execution capabilities, and its contribution to Cronos. Grants will be awarded based on certain pre-agreed milestones (for example: delivery of MVP, beta launch, TVL targets, trading volume targets, DAU targets, etc.)
2. Technical Support
To reduce the friction of producing a well-functioning Minimal Viable Product (MVP) on Cronos, grant recipients can expect to receive technical support and assistance from Cronos developers.
3. Marketing Support
Projects may receive marketing support across social media channels on Cronos to amplify projects’ outreach.
4. Partnership Introductions
Cronos Labs will help to connect projects with the right partners in the Cronos ecosystem to accelerate your growth
Requirements
Projects should be following these standards and guidelines to qualify for funding consideration:
Projects must be building an application directly on the Cronos blockchain
Projects must be building an application that falls within the following categories:
DeFi (AMM/DEX, Lending, Structured Finance, Yield Aggregators, Derivatives, Liquid staking etc.)
NFT (NFTs, NFT Marketplaces, Inter-NFT applications, etc.)
Gaming & Metaverse (Metaverse, Single-title games, gaming platform, etc.)
Tools & Analytics (DeFi protocols tools, Charting solutions, Dashboards, Analytics, developer tools, etc.)
Critical Infrastructure Projects (Oracles, etc.)
Social Goods and Community Engagement Projects (community forums, governance toolings, DAO projects, Educational youtube videos, dedicated medium articles, etc.)
Other Web 3.0 Applications (decentralized storage, decentralized social media, decentralized IP management etc.)
Grant Application Journey
Step 1: Submit Grant Application
Submit the application for the Cronos Ecosystem Grant via the airtable form below. Make sure that you fill in the form as diligently and thoroughly as possible as this will be the only information reviewed by the Cronos LabsTeam to decide upon grant acceptance or denial.Step 2: Cronos Labs Team Due Diligence
Your application will be reviewed by the Cronos Labs Team who will be performing the required due diligence on the Project.Step 3: Project Team Interview
If your project passes the Cronos Labs Team due diligence, your team will be invited to an interview with the Cronos Labs Team.Step 4: Acceptance / Rejection Notification
The Cronos Labs Team will perform a final review of the project based on the application and the interview. All applicants will be notified if their application is accepted or rejected.Step 5: Milestone Setting Alignment + Contract Signing
The project, together with the Cronos Labs Team, will align on the milestones for the project team to achieve. Once all milestones have been agreed upon and contract signed, you are all set.Step 6: Milestone Review & Funds Dispersal
Based on the pre-agreed upon milestones, there will be regular reviews between the Cronos Labs Team and the project. Upon the successful completion of each milestone, the project team will receive the milestone grant. Grants may entail a vesting duration to ensure full commitment from both parties.
Note: Cronos Labs team reserves the sole rights to decide the acceptance/rejection of the grant application.
