As announced, the Cronos Gravity Bridge testnet Pioneer 11 was launched on June 28, 2022, aiming to connect Cronos with the Ethereum network.
The Pioneer 11 testnet is a dedicated testnet created to test the Cronos Gravity Bridge, connecting to the Ethereum Goerli testnet. With the team’s hard work and the community’s strong support, the Pioneer 11 testnet has been running as expected since its launch.
We are pleased to announce that the Cronos Bridge Web App now supports Cronos Gravity Bridge testnet Pioneer 11. You can access it by selecting “Testnet” at cronos.org/bridge.
At this stage, the Cronos Bridge Web App allows Cronos Pioneer 11 testnet to connect to Ethereum Goerli testnet, so users can easily transfer ERC20 cryptocurrency tokens (WETH, WBTC, USDC, USDT, DAI) from and to Ethereum testnet through a mint/lock mechanism.
We encourage all users to give it a try and share feedback on the Cronos Discord server.
When a user sends assets from Ethereum to Cronos, the corresponding ERC20 token is locked in a smart contract on the Ethereum network and minted on the Cronos side in the form of a CRC20 token. Conversely, when a user sends assets from Cronos to Ethereum, the corresponding CRC20 token is burned on the Cronos side, and the ERC20 token is released on the Ethereum side.
Please follow this step-to-step guide to test out the Cronos Bridge Web App on Testnet.
