Cronos Mainnet V1.1 “Titan” upgrade — Announcing the Upgrade Block Height: 13,184,000
Following the initial announcement of the Cronos Mainnet V1.1 Titan upgrade, we are pleased to announce that:
The Cronos Mainnet V1.1 Titan upgrade block height is set to 13184000, expected around Tuesday, 26th March 7AM UTC (3PM HKT/SGT), depending on the progress of block production. Check here for the estimated time;
The network downtime is anticipated to be ~60 mins depending on the progress of the validator’s upgrade;
All Cronos services, such as Cronos network, public RPCs, Explorer, and Cronos bridge, will be paused and resumed after the upgrade is completed.
What to expect if you are an end-user
The proposed upgrade date is 26th March 2024, and the chain will be upgraded at a specific block height of 13184000; the estimated time of this block can be found here.
After the upgrade block height, all node operators will upgrade their node binary so that their node can continue to sync with the chain. The chain will pause and then go back online, with all the data persisted, once most validators have completed their upgrades.
Actions Required if you are a Node Operator
The Cronos chain will be upgraded at the block height of 13184000. Once we reach the upgrade block height, all node operators must follow the instructions and upgrade to the latest cronosd binary - “v1.1.0” to keep the nodes in sync with the chain.
Please DO NOT UPGRADE to the binary v1.1.0 before the target upgrade block, as it will be incompatible.
If you have any questions or comments about this upgrade, please reach out to the team via the #cronos-mainnet channel on the Cronos Discord server.
