Google Cloud joins the Cronos Accelerator Program as a sponsor to support AI-enabled Web3 innovation. Accelerated start-ups will receive Google Cloud credits as well as access to Google Cloud’s AI expertise.
We are already seeing signs of what “next generation DeFi” is going to look like during the next market cycle. Two important trends are playing out:
The mainstream adoption of liquid tokens. Liquid tokens are digital representations of cryptocurrencies which have been staked on a secure yield-generating protocol, such as stETH on Ethereum. These tokens are accruing yield from the underlying staking protocol and at the same time, they can be traded, lent, borrowed, and used in a wide variety of DeFi protocols just like any regular cryptocurrency. On Cronos, Veno Finance has introduced CRO staking (liquid token: LCRO) and ATOM staking (liquid token: LATOM). Argo Finance has introduced CRO staking as well (liquid token: bCRO).
CEX-like experience in DeFi. The idea is to offer the convenience and capital efficiency of centralized exchange markets, but with self-custody. DeFi protocols are now developing order books, perpetuals trading, and leveraged trading, leading to more compelling economics for traders and liquidity providers. On Cronos, decentralized protocols Fulcrom Finance and MadMex are exploring these themes.
Dappradar has increased its coverage of Cronos NFT platforms and collections, providing #CROFam with real-time statistics on popular NFT collections.
Cronoscan, the default block explorer of Cronos chain, has integrated Cronos ID. You can use Cronos ID domains instead of wallet addresses, and do domain lookups and reverse lookups.
TaskOn, the Web3 task collaboration platform, has integrated Cronos.
TFM, the IBC bridge aggregator, has integrated Cronos.
Crypto.org governance has voted YES on the proposal to burn approximately 100 M CRO per year in order to slow down the inflation of CRO circulating supply.
Crypto.com launched the The Expedition Gear collection on Cronos, ahead of the upcoming launch of Loaded Lions: Mane City game.
Minted, the NFT platform, has launched two ground breaking new features: bulk buy and floor sweep. Check them out to level-up your NFT trading strategies.
Ferro, the stable swap protocol, has launched pool boost and NFT staking, these features enable users to get up to 3x more in yield when depositing into the $xFER vaults and staking Cronos Cruisers NFTs. Check out the social quests with a $1,800 prize pool until July 19th.
Fulcrom Finance, the perpetuals trading platform, recently completed a trading competition for #CROFam, with a prize pool of $10,100 in $FUL tokens. Fulcrom is now launching a Survivor Care giveaway campaign for users who were impacted by the FTX collapse.
Argo Atlantis, the web-based resource management game by Argo Finance, is now live on Cronos mainnet.
Ryoshi Dynasties, the gamified DAO experience by Ebisu’s Bay, is about to launch on Cronos mainnet.
