On June 28th, 2022, we launched the Cronos Gravity Bridge on the “Pioneer 11” Testnet, a cross-chain communication protocol that allows the transfer of digital assets between Ethereum’s Goerli testnet and a dedicated Cronos testnet.
Cronos Gravity Bridge is poised to be positioned as the canonical decentralised bridge between Cronos and Ethereum mainnet. It will enable the seamless transfer of digital assets between the Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems. Therefore it is important that, as a community, we harden the technology and users feel safe when bridging tokens between Ethereum and Cronos Chain.
In addition to engaging with industry-leading cybersecurity audit firms, we are announcing the Cronos Gravity Bridge Testnet Bug Bounty Program — sponsored by Cronos Labs with a bounty up to USD 200,000.
The goal of this bounty is to encourage security researchers, smart contract developers, and whitehat hackers to assess the Cronos Gravity Bridge in its current testnet implementation.
Details of the bug bounty have been published on the Immunefi platform. Depending on the threat severity, the bounty for reporting a bug can go as high as USD 200,000.
How to Participate
Firstly, familiarise yourself with the Cronos Gravity Bridge. The Cronos Gravity Bridge has been deployed for testing between the Ethereum Goerli testnet and a dedicated Cronos testnet (“Pioneer 11”). For more information, including the Cronos Gravity Bridge and link to the GitHub Repo:
Then, please head over to the dedicated Cronos Gravity Bridge Testnet page on ImmuneFi for more information on the assets in scope, reward scale, and the steps to submitting a report: https://immunefi.com/bounty/gravitybridge/
You can get in touch with our security team via the Immunefi platform. For all other questions, please visit the Cronos Discord server.
