Welcome to the January 2024 Cronos newsletter! It’s been a busy month. This post recaps the latest launches and campaigns announced by apps in the #CROFam ecosystem. Not financial advice.

• Introducing the game-changers: Cronos Labs announces the third cohort of its Cronos Accelerator Program. Focusing on the intersection of AI & Blockchain, this initiative is set to propel the next wave of Web3 innovation. Startups include:

  • Reax - Decentralized synthetic assets protocol.

  • Securd - Liquidity backed lending.

  • LILLIUS - Gamified sports training developed through AI.

  • Newwit - AI-powered predict-to-earn GameFi.

  • Innerworks - AI & ZK for digital footprints.

• Cronos POS chain’s governance is currently voting on a proposal to adjust CRO emissions parameters and increase staking APR, as a result of the chain’s success in increasing the CRO staking ratio well above 30%.

• Decentralized stablecoin lending protocol Orby network revealed its upcoming launch on Cronos. Orby is a crypto lending protocol that offers interest-free borrowing of USC, Orby’s native stablecoin. With the USD 3,000 $ORB Zealy Giveaway, the top 50 users on the leaderboard can win $ORB rewards.

• CorgiAI announced CorgiCre8r, a tool that transforms ideas into one-of-a-kind digital art using AI. The first ever mint, "Top Dog", is minting from 30th January to 1st February 2024. 

• Bored Candy City partnered with Minted to launch Bored Candy NFT staking on the Minted NFT staking platform.

• Boomer Squad launched its arcade game pass on the Crypto.com NFT marketplace which provides utility across games within the Boomer Squad ecosystem.

• Cronos added a new IBC bridge with the Juno blockchain. This increases Cronos’ connectivity with Cosmos chains further, adding to the existing bridges with Cronos POS, Cosmos Hub, Akash, IRISnet, Canto and Celestia.

• Cronos released a new gas tracker on the Cronos website, offering real-time network traffic updates & ideal gas prices for various speeds.

• Fulcrom continues to provide real yield opportunities of over 60% APR within its perpetual trading platform! 

• Veno launched a CRO liquidity strategy vault in partnership with Ferro, currently tracking at 23% annual yield on CRO. Visit the Veno website for details.

• Croscribe launched an inscriptions indexer as well as launchpad and marketplace. Users can already trade cros, soon, balliesnft, corgi and other popular inscriptions.

• Single Finance has rolled out new leverage yield farms offering double and triple digit yields powered by VVS farms. 

• Furrend has opened up additional exclusive access for the first 100 #CROFam users who join the Furrend app using the invite code CROFAM.

• Ballies launched their Ballies Tourney which features a $13,000 prize pool for all #crofam that participates in the tournament within the Ballies app.

• Chiverse teased the upcoming launch of the Chiverse dApp and has an ongoing Chiverse Tournament with a 10,000 $CRO prize pool

• Crowboys teased additional game play sneak peeks for its upcoming game featuring new mechanics, systems, and characters.

• Crypto.com’s Loaded Lion Mane City concluded its New Year's Blitz tournament with a final prize pool of $72,000 to be distributed to all players.

• Cronos held an AMA discussing about DeFi on Cronos, featuring VVS Finance and Single Finance.

• Cronos ID released the Cronos ID Notification Service, enabling user to subscribe to notifications from their preferred dapps. Contact the Cronos ID team if you’d like to integrate this functionality.

• Ebisu’s Bay announced their grant program targeting developers who are keen to build on top of the Ebisu’s Bay ecosystem.

• The new Cronos Explorer continues to improve. With the Explorer API, developers can now query blockchain data and use the API to perform smart contract verification.

• Kyve launched their new v3 web app, enabling developers to easily query data across blockchains of the IBC ecosystem, including Cronos.
